Lynette with her camera at Shaver Lake

Taking lots of pictures is the same thing as being a photographer, and since I come from a long line of picture-takers in my family, that makes me a photographer, right? Nearing 50 years old I decided to find out!

In 2010 I got my first ‘big’ camera and began taking pictures. Turns out there’s a bit more to being a photographer than simply taking lots of pictures.

Arriving a little late to the party is ok though because I found out it’s fun to be at a party and although it took me a while to learn the language and skills required for photography, I’m sure glad I did; it’s fun!

My subjects are landscapes not people because, well I just don’t like people… alright I suppose there’s a few people that I like; you’ll find me photographing my favorite ones in… landscapes!!

The best part about all of this is being able to see and capture the glorious landscapes that God has created. I’ve learned to take lots of pretty pictures, and the credit goes to the Gift Giver, the Creator of the subjects Himself; God!

“Every good and perfect gift given, comes to us from God above, the Creator of all light, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow.”– James 1:17
